About NHWPI

The NH Women’s Policy Institute provides non-partisan research and information on issues related to women in New Hampshire.  The Institute was founded on a belief that credible, unbiased data on issues affecting women would inform meaningful policy change, enable the public and private sectors to work together more effectively, and advance the well-being of women in this state.  Our mission is to generate research, encourage policy discussions and educate the public in order to inform decision-making and promote the value of women in New Hampshire.

NHWPI was founded in 2002 and published its first report The Economic Status of Working Women in New Hampshire in 2005.  The Institute hired its first executive director in 2006.

NHWPI is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and does not receive any state or federal funding.  We are supported through gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and institutions.  Click here for a list of our corporate and foundation sponsors.
